The Everything

Framing Words

This is how ‘Time forgotten’ turns out when tweaked a little artistically via Instagram. I quite like it! It gives me ideas…

Dang, the title of this post, which I just wrote above there now, inspires more verse. That is a good thing right?

Do we want or need more verse?

Time Forgotten

img_20151202_105626.jpgShow me the sun in the east
Show leaves falling
Show me you, and I will see
The rhythms we keep

Hide, and my senses mute
Music hollow, movement stiff
Monotone my fate.

I try deny you.
Kill my heart to memory.
I succeed, you know.

Except for that whimper in my dream
That whiny voice some call hope.

Say it is not me but you.
Say tomorrow the sun glows gold
Forests green, from black
Leaves turn red

Say time is not forgotten

Say it ain’t so.

That Little Breeze

I sat a while blind,
Deaf, numb, mute.
Killed by my own heart.

Heavy air on summers days
Pushed sweat out the pores
In the still air, I can’t feel its presence

Keeping me clinging on, I know
I need to move, and I do, almost.
The sweltering, the weight, too much!

Stand and walk! In that instance,
The faintest breeze brushes the droplets
Formed through my skin to save my life

Relieving, releasing, comforting,
Wakening my senses
The touch, of nothing I can see, pushing against me

Run, perhaps soon, so this breeze grows stronger
To hear shushing, limbs pulsing blood
Open my mouth and sing, or maybe scream –
